I've been watching the Ranks non-stop LOL Pipsi is creeping up with us..

Think they only update the rankings about once a day?

If we get lucky and take out the Aussie number 1 posi we may come close to getting into the World top ten, which might be dreaming a bit given we are a amall Aussie server, with less of a player pool than all the Euro and US servers out there. But watching with interest, so far, was happy to fall into the World top 100 so anything more is a bonus. School holidays are at an end (in Perth atleast) so I expect some player numners to drop back but you never know, appears we are getting onto loads of players 'favorites' list, which is good for business.

Getting in the #1 spot is the easy part...
The hard part is getting to the world #1 spot..

Its crazy m8, been too busy to play tonight but the server has exploded lately and the only quiet night was wed when ppl think servers will be down for maintenance. We had more trouble from zombies than players

Just adjusting the server to a 2hr restart for something different, have set the server start time to 5PM, where one hour should be daylight then the 2nd hour daylight going to dusk.

Will play with again later and maybe make it 3hr restarts with a couple hours of dusk then one hour of dusk going into night. The night and it is not bad with a dark grey scale.

If anyone notices, please let me know if the server restart warnings are working or not? should be at 30/10/2 minutes prior to the server auto restarts. Got a feeling they are not working properly?

I like the idea of 2hr server resets as ot will draw people to high loot areas and cause more contact.

Just hope the reset warnings will work so we don't lose entire stashes forget about resets.

disabled it for now, doesn't seem to want to kick in, will play with it again soon... when I can be bothered.

Server was down way too long for its normal weekly maintenance, so started it, came up as experimental server? rolled me in as a new spawn?
loads of short roll-backs which is a current known experimental issue.
Had bad dysnc so restarted a couple times, cleared some bugs, but still on experimental for some reason?
Wonder if all servers are the same? will go check, in any case will restart ours soon to try and keep clearing the bugs.

Another restart and it seemed to clear the bug with the server being on experimental setting, so sort of back to normal.

After a long duration, it seems we are back in top 100 again!! Let's see if we can get #1 this time

So Flyerr and i just witnessed a shot out in Berenzino. By witnessed, i mean he let Duck get killed and then fled, while i ran down from North wherever.

We let all interested parties kill each other off. After the sole survivor had fled. Went to recover the bodies. Found a backpack with 8000+ mosin rounds in a single slot. It was ruined, so i split it down to see if it was just a glitch. But it was genuinely 8000+ rounds

next time you find hack-ammo like that take a screenie of the players in the server and wack it in the Sergeants-Mess hacker-intel folder here: http://www.mfpclan.com/t578-sergeants-mess-intel-folder , could be handy for future reference.

Well.. I am thinking, considering that basically everyone has moved to ARMA III. I'm starting to think that it will be one of the main games and considering I can't play it cleanly. I'm going to be playing other games such as Sniper Elite, Left 4 Dead 2, Guns of Icarus and some other games that aren't as shocking as DayZ at this moment.
So, if anyone wants to join me, I'll probably be in the guest rooms playing a game other than DayZ, because right now. It just doesn't seem fun any more with everyone MIA in Chernarus...
(Main games I'll be playing:
- Guns of Icarus
- Sniper Elite V2; and
- Left 4 Dead 2
I've heard talk about these games and we haven't actually played it so why not play it now that DayZ is back to square one?)

Its sad how dayz is a slow progress but having steam connections is great to jump onboard with others in other games. I didnt get arma3 as the demo really didnt run well and I figured my pc would not handle it.... turns out it run pretty good and most lag is seen by all via server more than my pc. (My pc is around 10 yrs old... 775 quad core)

loved arma 3 when I've pld it, but still really loving dayz for some hard to explain reason, it just seems to still be gripping me more than anything else. Starting to enjoy bf4 the more I get used to it also but that's more for a blast here and there rather than an all night session game. Hope to see some movement from dayz soon......... lol

It is the persistant world and character progression Sickboy that do it. That's why I am really looking forward to Epoch on Arma 3. Fortunately/unfortunately I got into DayZ mod earlyish so have pretty much done it to death until SA endgame comes out.

The thing is with ARMA III, I have to play on very low settings to actually play with playable fps which kills all of the good looks of the game. I might as well be playing ARMA II

Server invoice paid, covers up to the 15th July 2014 before the next one is due...

Re-fiddled with the 2hr server restarts yesterday, if one of you regular Thunderdome players notices it restarting every two hours can you let me know, want to confirm if it is working this time?

I started at 6:30 and it restarted like normal on 7:00 so I looted around for an hour ran into two people (at separate times). I got off for a bit near a hidden location and left the door open at this lone house in the middle of no where.
I did not witness a restart at 9:00 because I was watching a show and when I came back around 9:30 the door was open.

So whether or not someone was following me and the server reset and he opened the door. Or it hasn't updated the server yet. Perhaps wait until tonight or tomorrow.

Gotta say that some of the grumbling I had been hearing about the latest patch was pretty unjustified after playing for a few hours last night. Though Sickboy mentioned it seemed to be getting better the last few days. I had absolutely zero rubber-banding, I think I saw a de-sync symbol twice that evening not counting restarts, Zeds seemed a bit laggy only after the server pop started to fill. The big change was that nearly every keypress I hit was actioned with exception to a few times when running where it wouldn't vault. But switching out gear, right click menus and all were a lot more responsive now.

Granted though I wasn't in an area with a lot of players. The server did appear to crash out last night around 12:30 and was offline for around half an hour or so. Sickboy and I hopped over to another low-pop so he could continue gearing up then that reset just as I we met up in the middle of town, then we saw Thunderdome had come back online with 0 players.

May need to suggest setting up a Teamspeak server (not channel) for WoMFP (Wives of Main Force Patrol) So they can have a bit of a rant and support group going. My wife was none too happy about Sickboy joining the server around 23:00 when I was considering heading off to bed and keeping me up until nearly 02:00. It was a good BBQ though!

Lol women just don't get it m8, they expect us to spend time with them when we could be hunting and fishing :p Getting serious for a moment though its a juggling act for sure m8, Ive been there and done that and I was a serious gamer when I met my wife so she kinda knew what she was getting into lol. I think women in general expect us to grow up and dump these childish things but personally I reckon there are far worse things to be doing. Hope I'm not too bad an influence lol.

Removed the MoTD mfp recruiting message for a while, with a recent intake of new members. Is not to say we are not recruiting anymore, simply not advertising as heavily as we have done a while now. Will review it again in the near future.
