Server General Discussions
Admin features are limited however expected to expand over time during the ALPHA phase of the game.
RCon features yet to come with the introduction with Battleye. Whereby we may be able to utilise RCon programs like DaRT.
New server linked to GameTracker as per the home page new link addition to the server widget.
Set the server time setting to start at 10AM (Day) so when it resets every 4hrs should always kick off at 10AM? can change it every so often for variety... Had a quick jump on the server and very quick run and it looks to be up and running.

Means the Experimental patch updates now moved to the Stable Alpha servers. Thus they should all be updated or updating as I post this.
Our server name changed to include the 114926, which means the latest patch should now be active on BEYOND THUNDERDOME, enjoy.

The server finally fell into the top ten ranked Aussie servers today on gameservers.com:

At the time of this post was ranked 344 in the world. Increasing to 40 players may help it go further up the list in coming weeks? So travelling well so far. Hopefully when tents come into play we will be able to build a solid 'regular' players base.
Must be a few Mad Max fans out there!

To be accurate Revy .. the clan server is actually ranked No 4 for regular Day/Night cycle aussie servers. The others seem to be 24/7 Daylight. Nice. No girly Daytime only!!!! Keep it simple, raw and sweet!!!!

Didn't hold 40 for very long, I had a run on it shortly after and the server was dropping out a bit (or it was just me?), our hosts did a few hours maintenance today, which may be the cause? but still all good..

The current 4hr server rotation, start time is set at 9AM just moved down from a 3PM start that took the server into a Day-Dusk timeframe.
*Heasdup, as a part of every so often changing out the 4hr start timing a bit, I plan to test kick in an hour of night time on the rotation for something different, thinking the first hour after a restart and new loot load in, gives the night time brave players a headstart on the carebear-daytime only players, to search for newly spawned loot. The server then should kick into a few hours of Dawn/daylight...
Might be worth hanging onto a torch or headlamp to better search building interiors during that dark hour?
Also planning to keep our server fairly DayZ-RAW/vanilla as more features come in, rather than follow the 24/7 Daylight, 2hr restarts crowd...

At the time of this post the server has been down a couple hours, not sure why?
I restarted it and it auto stops. May be a new patch upgrade? no advice from my host on this one yet.

Belive I read some where that on Wednesdays they would be doing server side maintainance. I would put it down to that as all servers were down bar experimental.

Allows from some scripting in better schedule notices, so far have added 30/15/5 and 1 munite server restart warnings, yet to see it working in game!..
I am sure more admin features will continue to be setup over time.

The devs are aware of the desync and lag issues, hopefully something will be released soon.
At the moment, our server sits on "wait for host" for quite some time... i tried some other servers and it appeared to load quickly... not sure if ours has updated to the new patch or its related to the current issue?... have to wait and see.

I was experiencing issues with it after the patch. When me and some of the other guys were on there was four or five times in an hour where everyone in the server fe synced of disconnected. I am giving it a week or so anyway as I'm still mourning my previous character

yeah, I tried to play a bit on our server last night, no good......
was lagging like no tommorro, I then jumped and skipped maybe
3 or 4 server's with in maybe 1/2 an hour and had no problem...
It all went to shit for me when I was given the option to paint my
axe green .....

yeah, last time I played with Sickboy and it was non-stop "XXX - BattleEye not responding" and there would be 8 people at once usually. SO we thought it was just ours so we went to another server and it was the same.

Yup they kinda screwed it up a bit with this patch but as long as a hotfix turns up pronto I wont hunt them down like dogs!!!

The server has been busy lately with school holidays... was even 40 players on a 02.30AM (Perth time) this morning lol

Most of the top ranked servers say 24/7 daylight, 2hr restarts, meh! keeping ours RAW which is a way a lot of players want to play the game I think?.. Still unable to get night working, think there is a hold on it, will come in the server time cycle eventually I hope.. Can get a bit of either dawn or dusk in the cycle though which is pretty cool.
Read somewhere that Admins may eventually get tools to fiddle with server time cycles, so we can make the cycle whatever we want (within reason) so could make cycles like:
3hrs daylight 45mins night. or 2hrs day 30mins night? etc... etc...

I support any night time decision. 24/7 daylight cuts out a huge element of the game for me. Hopefully a fix comes through soon.

Think our host Vilayer is having some issues, I think they would be aware of it and may even be testing it?
Is not just our server either I noticed other Vilayer servers took 8 minutes to fire back up after the auto-11AM restart, I was unable to manually kick start it then either, which is unusual.
May be something that come in on the Wednesday Maintenance?

At the time of this post: and I suspect with some help form loads of teens on school holidays, The server has broken into the top 100 gametracker.com listed servers worldwide (at rank 90) and is at rank 5 in Australia. Don't know we'll go much higher than this? but is nice to get into the top 5 just once
Might have a drink tomorrow to celebrate!
