Main Force Patrol Clan

Code of Conduct

Compiled by the Clan Leaders

1. OVERVIEW

The MFP clan Code of Conduct (The Code) is implemented to ensure that all Members equally share the opportunities to compete both together and individually through online gaming in public and private servers, respectively. To this end, The Code sets out guidelines that all Members are expected to adhere to in the interest of upholding the reputation of Clan and to ensure all Members playing on public servers are not tainted by the actions of others when wearing the Clan's tag.

2. MEMBER RESPONSIBILITIES

a. Commitment to a Clan organised, online event ('Clan Rumble') in an enthusiastic attitude when availability has been stated;
The team depends on each Member's participation. Members are expected to see a match through and not quit because they don't like a given situation or turn of events. Each Member is there for a good time, but not at the expense of his or her team.  Due to the clans members status with the clash of work and pleasure, 'Clan Rumbles' are obviously not manditory, but a fantastic way to play as a clan and enjoy each others company.  However, it is requested that members AT MINIMUM notify a captain of attendance/non-attendance, verbal or email.

b. Refrain from harrassing or abusive behaviour towards Members and public server players;
Any deliberate actions that cause a negative effect in the Clan will not be tolerated. Because it is a right for all Members to enjoy their time spent with the Clan, it is also a responsibility to ensure other Members enjoy that same right. When playing on public servers, Members are to abide by the rules of that server. This includes public flaming and accusations of “hax” without solid evidence. If unsure, consult a clan captain.

c. Displaying of Clan Tags online;
We as mfp members wear our uniform with pride!  The =mfp= tag is the only tag to be used by Clan Members. Members are expected to wear their =mfp= clan tags when representing and playing online, on any of  the clans current Main Listed Games, unless otherwise approved by a Clan Leader.  Further to this, where practicable, members should also wear the clan tags when playing online in all other casual games, especially when running with other clan members.  We realize that time, place and circumstance may negate this, however it is a general rule of thumb and common sense should prevail.  A Member is free to change their in-game handle as long as this does not breach The Code, though during Clan events, all Members are to show the clan tag.

d. Multiple Clan Memberships;
The clan membership has always pride itself with tight loyalty amongst the group. As a general rule of thumb, if you are a member of the mfp, you should not be a member of any other gaming clan, guild or group.
If however, a member wishes to be part of another gaming clan or group, for another gaming platform eg. a PS3 Call of Duty clan or PS4 Watch Dogs clan etc, then a request can be made to a Clan Leader(s) to review your case.  The member will be required to supply relevant website and alternate clan details, so an assessment can be made to whether a duel/multiple clan membership may be permitted and there is no clear conflict of interest in such approval.

e. Keeping up to date on the Clan forums;
The MFP forum is the primary means of communication. Regular updates and notifications are posted and it is important that all Members make an effort to keep themselves current and not rely on others to relay infomation. It is recommended each Member view the forum for new posts on a daily basis, or otherwise as often as practicable. Failure to attend a Clan event due to ignorance is not a valid excuse.

f. Strictly refraining from the use of in-game hacks and significant exploits;
The MFP are a proud and honourable clan.  We DO NOT actively use in-game 'hacks' or significant 'exploits'.  Full Stop!
Evidence of active, deliberate use of such hacks/exploits, by a clan member, will be investigated by Clan Leaders and dealt with accordingly as outlined in Section 4 of the Code of Conduct.

3. MEMBER RIGHTS

a. Entitled to an enjoyable and competitive gaming experience;
The Clan is founded on the ideals of teamwork and mateship. Having a good time online together should be the priority for every Member. Anything that detracts from a positive gaming experience should be taken up with a Clan Leader if it is considered to be a persistent issue.

b. Permitted to withdraw from organised online event/'Clan Rumble' when notifying a Clan Leader;
When unforeseen circumstances or prior engagments clash with a planned Clan event, a Member has the right to attend to those without risking a disadvantage due to absence. A Clan Leader must be notified beforehand or as soon as practicable so that Leaders have a chance to adjust for the absence.

c. Encouraged to approach a Clan Leader in private for any issues concerning The Clan or Members thereof;
Clan Leaders are there to oversee all aspects of The Clan. Any issues with Members or amongst Members affect the whole Clan and therefore the Leaders have a keen interest in providing assistance. Any Leader is approachable and has the responsibility to keep every Member's best interests in mind. Any abuse of a Clan Leaders time and effort in this sense will not be tolerated however.

4. ENFORCEMENT

Clan Leaders will take actions they deem necessary for any Member who fails to adhere to The Code. This may include, but is not limited to: Warning, Revoking Access, Demotion, Suspension or Expulsion.

Our current Clan Leaders are:

Loony .. SilvabakRev .. and Spriggamortis
